WHAT IS HYPNOTHERAPY?
Hypnotherapy is the use of hypnosis for therapeutic means at the deep subconscious level or state of hypnosis. This allows for direct communication with the subconscious mind and is where hypnosis is used as a healing application in the healing of the Mind, Body and Spirit which is what hypnotherapy is all about. The hypnotherapist communicates directly with your subconsious mind in order to release the root cause(s) of any feelings such as anxiety, fear, pain, sadness, guilt or rejection. Once the root cause(s) are unconverted, the healing journey can begin.
IS HYPNOSIS MIND CONTROL?
No, while in hypnosis you will never do or say anything that you would not normally say or do in your everyday state of awareness. You are completely aware and in total control at all times. Hypnosis is not a form of mind control and you are free to share as little or as much information as you would like as you have free will and are always in control at all times.
HOW SUCESSFUL IS HYPNOTHERAPY?
Your success with hypnotherapy will be enhanced by your desire and willingness to allow yourself to go into a deep, restful state of calmness and relaxation, and by using your imagination with the help of your hypnotherapist. WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR FIRST SESSION?
After discussing what your goals of hypnosis will be and any presenting issues you may have, your first session will introduce you to hypnosis. I will guide you down into a deep, peaceful, calm state of total relaxation. Once in this relaxed state of hypnosis, I will give you positive suggestions. Depending on your goals or what you would like to achieve, this first session will prepare you for your future sessions, allowing you to get familiar with being in this completely safe, relaxed state. It is in your future sessions that interactive hypnotherapy will take place.
HOW MANY HYPNOTHERAPY SESSIONS DO I NEED?
Depending on what your goals of hypnotherapy are or what you want to achieve, the number of sessions you need will vary from person to person. On average it takes between 4 - 6 sessions to achieve long lasting, permanent changes. Clinical hypnotherapy sessions are typically between one to one and half hours. ARE VIRTUAL HYPNOTHERAPY SESSIONS JUST AS EFFECTIVE AS IN PERSON SESSIONS?
Yes, virtual hypnotherapy sessions are actually just as effective, if not more so, than in person sessions. Having hypnotherapy sessions virtually allows for clients to be in the comfort of their own home or space of their own choosing. This is especially helpful for clients who may have mobility, transportation, scent adversions/allergies and allows for less stress and transportation time, so that you can spend more time in your session. Virtual sessions are done securely by Google Meet with a device of your choosing (laptop, phone, tablet) and preferably wired headphones. As your hypnotherapist, I ask that you set your device in a way so that I can see your face and that you have a good, reliable internet connection.
